Wow, that was certainly interesting
dinner besides being quite delicious.
Apparently the building which is the
restaurant was formerly the Officer's
Mess Hall. The base was shut down 20
years ago but the airport is still
used for training. A group of people
put money into upgrading the base and
turned it into a Conference Center.
At the end of this month they are
holding a "massive reunion". A very
large number of people worked @ the
base.Our waitress was telling us that
her mother worked here in the
accounting dept and will be attending.
The center is completely sold out that
weekend. There are 3 planes out in
front and everything is in preparation
for this event. A fascinating evening.
