Tour of the Lighthouse

I managed to climb 4 flights of very
steep stairs to get to the top. The
last set was almost completely
Vertical but the air was getting very
thin and warm. Bob went right to the
top but you couldn't stay long as it
was still quite foggy @ the time.
We spent time talking to Jeff the
Innkeeper retired from the Hydro and
working here managing the location.
He was born here on the Island and
has been quite involved in his family
geneology. If you go back far enough a
large percentage of families on the
Island are related. Many interesting
stories he shared with us. After
breakfast we packed up reluctantly
to depart. We met a young family
from Port Hope with 2 young girls
at breakfast. At dinner the night
before a couple with 3 children.
The majority of people are just there
for the 1 night ...costly but for sure
worth the experience.
